Our Staff

We know our office is only as effective and welcoming as the people who work in it, which is why we take pride in our friendly, well-trained staff members. As a team, we are especially interested in making all our patients feel right at home! We put your needs first to achieve efficient, comprehensive treatment in a supportive, nurturing environment. We promise to speak candidly with you about possible treatments as well as any risks and associated costs of treatment, and how treatment can address your individual needs as a patient.

Our staff is highly skilled, uniquely trained and aims to provide energetic and fun-loving service to each patient. Our staff consists of team members with specialized training and each team member has years of experience in treating patients with the highest level of care. We strive to stay abreast of the very latest in technology and advancements by regularly attending continuing education courses and seminars.

Lori Franklin – Patient Coordinator

LoriFranklin_sLori works at our front desk as the scheduling coordinator, but sometimes you can find her in the clinic working chairside with patients. She joined Dr. Pezza's office in 2000 but has been working in orthodontics for over thirty-five years. Lori has worked in many different capacities in our office, starting out as a chairside assistant, then on to treatment coordinator, and now at the front desk. Her current position involves constantly multi-tasking while also interacting with the patients in the office. Her engaging and welcoming personality has allowed our patients and parents to know her by name, fostering our philosophy of treating everyone like family. In her time away from the office, she loves spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. She also enjoys reading and traveling to Florida.

Mary Ann Lisi – Treatment Coordinator

MaryAnnLisi_sMary Ann, our treatment coordinator, brings over thirty years of dental experience to our office and she has been at Pezza Orthodontics for twelve years now. Since she is often the first person our new patients meet, her primary goal is to welcome our patients to our practice. Mary Ann will get to know you and find out what your orthodontic concerns are. After our doctors perform their exam and suggest treatment options, Mary Ann will arrange your follow-up appointments, discuss finances, and determine your insurance benefits. She becomes an important contact person for our new patients until their active treatment is started. She believes in the individuality of every patient and she strives to make your visit pleasant, efficient, and thorough.  In her spare time, Mary Ann enjoys knitting, reading, and making jewelry.

Jan O'Brien – Financial Manager

JanOBrien_sJan is our financial manager and is responsible for overseeing patient accounts and insurance benefits. She has been with us for over thirty years and has had the privilege of working with hundreds of patients, many of whom are now returning to the office with their children. Jan believes that the success of our office is our dedication to the patient experience and our commitment to family. Over the years here, Jan has worked as a chairside orthodontic assistant, treatment coordinator, and now the financial manager; she understands the complete journey our patients take while in our office. When not working, Jan enjoys traveling, cooking, and cheering for the Red Sox!

 

 Jaclyn Cummings – Orthodontic Assistant

JaclynCummings_sJaclyn joined our office in 2011 as a chairside orthodontic assistant. She has over twelve years experience working in clinical orthodontics and has the ability to adapt to each patient's individual treatment. Her priority is enhancing the patient experience and making sure each patient is excited and educated about their treatment. Our patients are special to Jaclyn and she loves to laugh and smile with them. Jaclyn is a mom of two adorable kds - her son Davin and daughter Ava. When not working, you can find Jaclyn spending time with her family, going shopping, and enjoying some of Rhode Island's best restaurants.

 

Tara Nelson – Orthodontic Assistant

TaraNelson_sTara started working here in 2014 and is the newest member of our team but she has over ten years of experience as a chairside orthodontic assistant. She has extensive training in all aspects of clinical orthodontics, including routine adjustments, placing appliances, intraoral scanning for Invisalign, and emergency care. Prior to being in the orthodontic field, Tara studied early childhood education and was a preschool teacher for six years. She is a huge sports fan and tries to attend as many Red Sox games as she can. When not at work, Tara enjoys spending all of her time with her son Logan.

 

Cheryl Randall – Orthodontic Assistant

CherylRandall_sCheryl joined our team in 1998. She has been an orthodontic assistant since she started here and has been working closely with our doctors and patients everyday, delivering the highest quality treatment. Her extensive experience as a clinical assistant has allowed her to expand her duties over time. She is responsible for taking digital x-rays, intraoral scans for Invisalign, preparing teeth for braces, changing wires, placing appliances, and other routine appointments. Cheryl enjoys working chairside with our patients and educating them about their orthodontic treatment. Seeing our patients' amazing new smiles when the braces are removed is very rewarding to her. In her spare time, Cheryl travels with her husband and loves spending time with her family.
