Financial Policies

Orthodontic treatment is an important investment into the physical, emotional and social well-being of children and adults. It is also an essential part of high-quality medical and dental care. We believe that financial considerations should not be an obstacle to obtaining this beneficial health service. It is our goal to provide you with cutting-edge treatment that fits your budget.

Treatment Finances

finances

We are sensitive to the fact that many people have different needs in fulfilling their financial obligations, so we offer a variety of payment options to meet your individual needs.  Because we have the ability to offer in-house financing, there are never any interest charges in our office payment plans.  We also offer a discount for those who wish to pay-in-full at the start of treatment.

Our office accepts payments by cash, checks, all credit cards, EBT cards and FSA accounts.  Please ask us about automatic and recurring credit card payments.  Also, payments can easily be made via our smartphone app, to eliminate the need for you to mail a check or pay in the office.  We do not charge any additional fees for credit card payments.

Before any treatment is begun, we will throughly explain all your options and tailor a comfortable financial agreement that suits your needs.

Insurance

Our office is committed to helping you maximize your insurance benefits.  We accept most insurance policies.  If your insurance covers orthodontic treatment, you will receive the benefit of reduced out-of-pocket costs.  Many policies have a lifetime orthodontic benefit that is distinct from regular dental insurance.  Because insurance policies vary, we can only estimate your coverage in good faith but cannot guarantee coverage due to the complexities of insurance contracts.  Your estimated patient portion must be paid at the time of service according to the terms of your financial agreement.

Please remember that orthodontic insurance is a benefit for you or your child.  If during the course of treatment your benefits change, the financially responsible party is accountable for all charges.  We will review your insurance to determine the appropriate course of action.

As a service to our patients, we will file your claims and bill the insurance company for you.  If you have any questions, our courteous staff is always available to answer them.

A word about our fees

We pride ourselves on our ability to offer personalized care and provide customized treatment planning.  Everyone's orthodontic needs differ and the requirements to successfully complete a patient's treatment will differ among all patients.

Our fees are based on many things.  The complexity of treatment, a patient's expectations, the appliances used, and the length of treatment are some of the major factors that determine the fee for orthodontic treatment.  Therefore, our fees may vary from patient to patient.  Since each patient deserves the proper care,  the fee cannot be determined until after a comprehensive orthodontic examination by our doctors.  That is why we do not charge for your initial consultation and examination.
