As a specialty practice, we believe in the importance in maintaining overall dental health. Before orthodontic treatment can begin, we make sure that every patient starts with a clean healthy, mouth. Further, we believe that preventative care and education are the keys to optimal oral health. We strive to provide our patients oral hygiene instructions and highly recommend that our patients continue to visit their general dentist regularly while they are in our care for orthodontics.

Infection control in our office is very important. To protect our patients and ourselves, we strictly maintain sterilization processes using standards recommended by the American Dental Association (ADA), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and the Center for Disease Control (CDC). Our digital x-ray machine significantly reduces the amount of radiation that our patients are exposed to.

Being members of local and national organizations, such as the American Association of Orthodontists, Northeastern Society of Orthodontists, and the Rhode Island Association of Orthodontists, helps us to stay abreast of the changes and recommendations for our profession.
